Anope IRC Services

Anope IRC Services:

We all know how hard it is trying to look for documentation for a networks' services, Here we use Anope IRC Services, one of the most common service packages around, It is a successful fork from Epona, which is forked from "IRCServices" by Andrew Church. Here we've taken some of the built in help system from Anope's pseudo clients, and put it on our wiki. Of coarse, most is written by ourselfs. Hopefully this will help users, or other networks. We've also added commands for other modules we currently use; Find the sections here.

UnrealIRCd

UnrealIRCd:

UnrealIRCd is an open source IRC daemon which was originally a fork of EliteIRCd. Since development started on UnrealIRCd, around May 1999, many new features have been added, modified, some of which include advanced security features and bug fixes. You can find documentation for it here. (The original documentation can be found here)

Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor

BOPM:

BOPM, the Blitzed Open Proxy Monitor, is a tool for network administrators to look after the network a little, It scans users when connecting to the network for dangerous open proxies, You can find BOPM commands (that are taken in the services channel) from here.

Also, if you have been banned by BOPM on the EScriptIRC network, then please see this.

Idle RPG

IdleRPG:

IdleRPG is a popular RPG, where users idle in a muted (+m) channel, When they login they are voiced. if they type in that channel they will be penalized for the amount of lines, words, or even letters they typed. You can find information about the IdleRPG game here,

Secure Shell:

Secure Shell or SSH is a network protocol that allows data to be exchanged using a secure channel between two networked devices. Used primarily on Linux and Unix based systems to access shell accounts, SSH was designed as a replacement for Telnet and other insecure remote shells, which send information, notably passwords, in plaintext, leaving them open for interception. The encryption used by SSH provides confidentiality and integrity of data over an insecure network, such as the Internet. Most people use SSH for managing their IRC networks; Here we have some documentation to help new SSH users. This can be found here.

This document contains information about:

  • SSH clients.
  • common commands.
  • how to compile, and more.
